Frequently Asked Questions

Does the conference count toward my continuing education accreditation requirements?

Yes. The connect2comms speaker application process encourages presenters to align with the IABC Global Communication Certification Council recommendations for professional development. The connect2comms committee is happy to verify attnedance at this professional development conference.

What is the Join-and-Go Rate?

The popular Join-and-Go option allows nonmembers to bundle a one-year IABC Southern Region membership with a Full Conference attendance. Membership is for any Southern Region chapter or independent membership and includes the international, region and chapter dues. For just an additional $200 over the nonmember registration rate, nonmembers can become part of the IABC community and take advantage of a full year of member benefits!

Do I need to bring a printed ticket?

No, you do not need to bring a printed ticket. We will have a list of all registered attendees at the registration desk.

Photography Policy

On occasion, you may be photographed, video-taped, or audio-taped in connection with IABC activities. As an attendee at The IABC 2022 Southern Region connect2comms Conference, you agree that IABC is the sole owner of all rights in and to the resulting photographs, video footage and recordings, for all purposes related to IABC’s business (both now and in the future). Your name and likeness may be used by IABC in advertising and promotional materials. Participants shall receive no compensation or royalties for appearance in any materials.

What is your refund policy?

If you find you are unable to attend connect2comms, we encourage you to find a colleague to take your place at no additional change fee.

Otherwise, a full conference refund, minus an administrative fee of $50, will be made within 30 days of the cancellation date if requested prior to Sept. 7, 2022. After Sept. 7, 2022, there will be no refunds whatsoever for cancelled registrations. Again, substitutions can be made without a fee. Cancellations of paid conference registrations must be requested in writing to connect2commsconference@gmail.com.

Hotel reservations must be cancelled separately and directly with the hotel.

Substitutions

If you’re unable to attend the conference after registering, you or your company may send someone in your place. Substitutions may be made with written confirmation and permission from the person registered. All substitution must be communicated to connect2commsconference@gmail.com by 11 p.m., October 17, 2022.

If you are an IABC member and your replacement is not an IABC member, the outstanding balance due as a result of the difference in registration rates must be paid at the time of the change to make the substitution.
